A funny yet thought provoking look at Little League baseball. Two mismatched fathers/coaches - one a seasoned veteran and the other a rookie newcomer - comically struggle on philosophies of the game, parenthood and the true meaning of success. Their clash of styles and wills drives this funny and touching play through the bumpy terrain of fatherhood and baseball. As they struggle with the junior version of the national pastime, the men's markedly different personal circumstances and philosophies force them to journey onto life's playing field - where knowing how to succeed is all that matters.
This show contains some adult language that Little Leaguers sometimes use but shouldn't. Parental discretion is advised.

An apparently common everyday man actually has two wives and maintains two apartments. Everything is going well until the man, a London cab driver, makes a simple mistake that brings in outsiders, including the police. In the best tradition of British farce, one little misstep leads to something just a bit more outlandish, and that leads to falsehoods so unbelievable they are believed, and eventual catastrophe. It's all low comedy that will keep everyone laughing, with no regard for plausibility. Theatre Coppell, as usual, will pull out all stops to stage this over-the-top comedy; even the two apartments will be onstage at the same time!

Theatre Coppell's Christmas play is the story of a troubled youth who ends up in a small town and encounters characters who, in their daily routine, teach him the value of family and friends. They include the Christmas tree salesman with his own family problems and the town's constable whose wife directs the annual Christmas pageant, as well as two lovable old ladies who use a secret recipe to make fruitcakes. There's even the guy who puts too many decorations on his house and, when he plugs them in, they plunge the town into darkness. Everyone will find holiday cheer in this warm, happy theatrical production.

From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, the story bends the rules of time and space and takes the audience on a rollercoaster ride in which misguided patriots converge from all historical periods and end up on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. Theatre Coppell is excited to be producing this unique musical, ideally suited to our intimate stage and sure to provide a chilling theatrical experience.

The Jungle Book

When the entire animal village is threatened by Shere Kahn, the evil tiger, Mowgli must take desperate steps to help his friends. Filled with excitement and humor, the story highlights the struggle of good versus evil and is interspersed with the intriguing story of young Rudyard Kipling. Sent from his home in Bombay to a British boarding school, Kipling encounters his own jungle, including people both good and bad who parallel many of the animal characters he creates for his stories. With this adaptation of the Kipling story, Theatre Coppell will continue its tradition of staging first-rate family fare that will delight young and old alike.

It's a non-stop laugh-fest when a crafty slave named Pseudolus struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan for his young master, in exchange for freedom. Other unforgettable zany characters include a domineering wife and her quiet husband, a conceited but powerful Roman soldier, and a head-slave who thinks he's in charge but who isn't. Deception and mistakes abound. Just when you think they'll get away with it, a new twist in the plot requires even more prevarication, and the story gets even more crazy. Two classic songs of musical comedy have come from this show: Comedy Tonight and Everybody Ought to Have a Maid. This production is a revival of Theatre Coppell's very first production in 1988, when the laughs never stopped.
