The role of Eugene has been cast.
Kate - Eugene's mother, appears to be in her forties, rather hard-nosed and demanding, the kind of mother from the past who shows her love by demanding that her children toe the line-no questions asked.
Jack - Eugene's father, appears to be in his forties, the patriarch and breadwinner in the family, tired from working too hard, wise and practical.
Stanley - Eugene's older brother, appears to be in his late teens or early 20s, obedient, hard-working, with a sense of duty toward his family, although he struggles with injustices he sees in the world.
Blanche - Eugene's widowed aunt, appears to be in her late 30s or forties, a meek woman who feels constantly indebted to her sister for taking her in, but beginning to develop a sense for people unlike her family.
Nora - Blanche's older daughter, appears to be in her late teens or early 20s, eager to branch out in life but constrained by traditional values of the family who support her.
Laurie - Blanche's younger daughter, appears to be about 13, a bookworm, growing up without much responsibility because her family's adults consider her sickly.
