Volunteer
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Interested in volunteering with Theatre Coppell? Wonderful. Lots of experience? Great. No experience? NO PROBLEM! We need people like you of all ages (from 12 to 110) to come play with us. We have a variety of opportunities depending on your interests.
To volunteer, please fill out the form below with your contact information and the type of work you’re interested in based on the descriptions below. Someone will get back to you within 48 hours and make sure you are added to the volunteer list(s) of your choice. If you don't hear back in 48 hours (we are volunteers, too, after all) please email volunteer@theatrecoppell.com.
Theatre Coppell volunteers are an integral part of what we do. Keep in mind that if you make a commitment, we expect you to keep it. Notify us UP FRONT of any conflicts and we will work around them if we can. Conflicts that arise after a commitment is made are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
LEVEL ONE (Minimal Commitment)
Set Building/Painting
For most shows, our sets are constructed and painted on the 4-5 Saturdays before a show opens. If you have basic carpentry skills (can use a hammer or saw), you can help with set building. If you are interested in painting, we have tasks available for all skill sets including painting large walls, a bench or doors to more detailed painting like faux wood, graphics and much more! We currently have a wait list for painters, but once you are placed on the Set Paint Volunteer list, you will be notified via email and given further instructions.
Minimum age: 12 with accompanying adult
Ushering
Training for volunteer ushers and sign-ups for performances are coordinated through the Coppell Arts Center. All volunteers must complete a training session and a background check. For more information or to register for online training, please visit the Coppell Arts Center's volunteer page.
Minimum age: 18
Mailing Assistance
Two to three times per year, we mail correspondence to our patrons. This usually involves affixing pre-addressed labels to postcards or envelopes, and no experience is necessary. Once you are placed on the Mailing Assistance Volunteer list, we will email you when volunteer opportunities are available. You should respond if you are able to help and show up to the theatre on the date/time given in the email. You will be trained onsite.
